Conference Chair's Message
Message from the Chair
The key focus for this year’s Conference is to maximize the engagement and education of the attending delegates and members. As a 68 year, old association that has hosted 37 previous conferences, CAPL has a large amount of experience to share and discuss amongst its members. As the energy economy begins to stabilize in Canada, I am sure we are all looking forward to a renewed passion in Calgary and the surrounding communities. Engaging with other land professionals and being at the table making a difference, is what we desire from our profession. The conference committee aims to make this conference is one that brings together like minded professionals who want to expand their knowledge and contacts.
Education is a cornerstone of the 2017 conference; and, as such, plans are underway to provide registrants with the opportunity to attend two days of CAPL Education classes in addition to the two days of the primary conference program at no extra charge. These educational classes will be held in the city’s downtown core on September 18 and the 21, 2017. There will be two educational options offered in the mornings and two options offered in the afternoons; and, these education classes will provide attendees with the appropriate educational credit towards your membership. The primary conference program will be hosted at the Markin Macphail Centre at Canada Olympic Park on Tuesday and Wednesday, September 19-20, 2017.
With four full days of professional engagement and education, this year’s CAPL conference is one not to miss. Please keep your eye out for further information as details develop. In the meantime, if you have any comments or questions regarding this conference please email me at email@example.com or call me directly at (403) 243-3548.
